Hi, I'm Wai Kit

My name is Wai Kit (pronounced Y Kit), and I graduated from Northeastern University in May 2019 with a Bachelors/Masters in Mechanical Engineering and a Graduate Certificate in Engineering Management.

I've had professional experience being a Manufacturing, R&D, Application, and Support

Engineer. In addition, I've been a math/physics tutor for over ten years.  The biggest thing I learned in all my experiences is that I enjoy customer/client facing roles and helping them achieve their goals, whether that's in math/physics, or getting their lights to work (that's what I did at my previous job).

I'm currently a Support Engineer at Mobile Pixels, supporting customers on a daily basis and meeting with the executive team to drive company decisions. This is only a temporary position, so I am looking for my next full time opportunity!

What am I up to?

Outside of work, I run a small YouTube channel. It initially started as a hobby after I got laid off in 2020.  Back then my goal was to educate people about personal finance, but over the next 6 months, I transitioned to more of a dairy to inspire my audience. I've stopped making videos for now because I'm waiting for a certain event to make my next video. However, I am always thinking of ideas and new topics for videos. When that event happens, I will upload videos like no tomorrow!

 

Other than that, I'm a learning sponge. If I'm doing anything that is not cognitively intense, I will be listening to an Audible, YouTube, or Podcast about various topics: Business/Finance, Economics, Politics, Technology, Health, Lifestyle, and Mindset.

 

I'm also huge fan of League of Legend's TFT (TeamFight Tactics). Its like chess using League of Legends champions. It's fun

because it makes me think. Last season I got to Diamond 3 in ranked (top 1% in North America) - that's how much I like it!
